The Millay Colony is an artists’ colony and arts center located in the Berkshire foothills of Upstate New York. Surrounded by beautiful state forest, our facility offers an idyllic rural location with meadows, gardens, and mountain views, as well as 2 large buildings equipped with bedrooms, bathrooms, a large chef's kitchen, and more.
We offer a range of Wedding Packages including a local florist, photographer, caterer, rentals, on-site staff, parking and more. Overnight stays included.
The Millay Colony's two buildings – the Barn and the Main House -- sit on seven-acres bordered by Edna St. Vincent Millay's former house and gardens, and the beautiful Harvey Mountain State Forest. Resident artists and visitors to the Colony enjoy walks through many nearby trails and meadows fragrant with wild thyme, flowers and blueberries. There is wonderful hiking, biking, cross-country skiing, bird-watching and blueberry-picking on our property and throughout the nearby State Forest. A short drive will bring you to Tanglewood, Jacob’s Pillow, the Catamount Ski resort, and numerous parks and swimming holes.
Our buildings can board groups up to fourteen, with seven double beds. We can also arrange lodging with discounts at nearby locations for weekend events with larger numbers. Our public rooms, as well as two bedroom suites, offer universal access and can accommodate residents with any level of physical ability.
